Benefits of Being a Member
When you join BAPP you are demonstrating an interest and a firm commitment to best practice of building pathology and all its many facets.
Benefits
The key to BAPP is to network with other building, contrsuction and property professionals. Its strength will reside in the membership, so its in the interest of all members, and prospective members, to encourage others to join. And with no membership fees, there is no reason why the membership should not grow rapidly.
Already, BAPP has held a national conference, and is working on an annual lecture and roadshow briefing.
In the future, members will be offered network events - more technical briefings, social events including working roundtable dinners, drink receptions. rather than a traditional newsletter, members will be kept abreast of BAPP activities by email alerts.
A primary desire is to set up technical and best practice groups where knowledge and practice can be identified, commented upon and developed; then disseminated to members. With little secretarial control, this is very much a member led organisation and free from political agendas and inertia that sometimes plague large professional associations.
Costs
There are currently no costs for individuals to join BAPP. There will be a membership fee structure for the future, and members will be invited to take up the new membership. Current members will offered the opportunity to join at a cheaper rate when fees are introduced.
There is a desire to launch a corporate membership in the future.
